About Me

My name is Angelina.  I have my Masters in Clinical Psychology, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I work primarily with children who have autism, down syndrome, and other developmental delays, supervising their in-home therapy, as well as creating treatment plans, conducting assessments, and doing developmental evaluations. Along with working as a behavior analyst, I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  I have worked with dozens of children and families over the past decade. I see the world through an autism lens, both as a big sister, and as an analyst.  I wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to autism.  I am passionate about what I do for a living, and even more passionate about helping my brother. I’m here to share my stories and connect with others who have a heart for special-needs individuals.

Hello there! I just wanted to say I think it is a truly wonderful thing that you have devoted your career to helping people on the Autism spectrum. As the mother of a special little boy with Autism, I thank you for your hard work and effort. There is a definite need for specialists in this area.

    Angelina,
You sound like such an amazing woman. With an older child living with autism,I could only wish that my typical younger son one day will grow up and feel just as compelled to do something in this world that will make a difference in the autism community. Bless you, You will certainly help a lot of families.

Hi Youla. Wow. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Siblings have such an important role…and doing our part to make a difference really starts at home by loving our special needs siblings. Every family I’ve helped since starting my career has been because of my brother. Amazing how much his little life has had such a big impact!

Hi everyone , I wanted to share this new company called Keesago that is focused on the special needs community.

There is a calendar of special needs events (http://keesago.com/blog/calendar/) in which they try to list all workshops, conferences, group meetings etc. relevant to the community in the NY Metro Area. Pretty much anything they hear about they post and there nearly a couple hundred listings in there now. There are offering the keedeals, (similar to Groupon) as well as directory ( similar to Angie’s List )

Listings are completely free. They have the most extensive calendar of events nationwide!
